A new Graphics chip from Nvidia, the GeForce GTX280 is the latest of a new line of high-end GPUs to be introduced by this leader in graphics chip design. The latest and greatest GTX280 includes powerful 3D graphics and is one of the first graphics cards that can take over application tasks. It comes at an expensive price, however and is definitely in the high-end department of graphics chips. The price comes in around $650.00, which is currently the most expensive single-chip 3D card being sold on the market today.

Besides being the most expensive single-chip card, the GTX280 is also the fastest single-chip for 3D Gaming on the market today. And the card is the newest addition to Nvidia’s push at GPU-based processing cards. Now, if you think you need a $650.00 graphics card and can’t do without it, then by all means go get one! I, for one will have to wait and save up for it all, but I will tell you that this card is very intriguing and the fact that it can speed up graphics-intensive programs and work well with graphics-intensive operating systems, such as Windows Vista has this graphics card in my sights.
